IN the offices of a major Birmingham-based corporation, people are gathering to say farewell to Gloria Bennett, after 30 years at the company. Some are family members uncomfortable in their party clothes, some are co-workers, employees watching to see what will happen next, and some are friends, but not everyone is sorry to see her go.
